Morristown known as the "Gateway to the Thousand Islands" is a picturesque historical little village located in upstate New York on the southern shore of the Majestic Saint Lawrence River.

Fishing in the vicinity of Morristown is excellent. Whether on the Saint Lawrence River or Black Lake, all types of game fish including largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, muskie, crappie, perch, bluegill, channel cats, bullhead, and carp are available for the angler.

A Unique Variety of Dining and Boating facilities are available. A well protected bay in the village has become a popular mooring place for motorboating or sailing.

Walking distance to a museum, many historical buildings and stone structures, including the only windmill on the American side of the St. Lawrence River and an original 1824 stone school house. Morristown has seven buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Our community welcomes the tourist to explore its history.
